Supporting those who need it most

Residents and staff are delighted that Memory Lane has been awarded for its dementia-friendly design.

BCM's volunteers got together recently for a tour of the Crumlin Road Goal followed by a special celebration lunch at Grosvenor House to say thank you for all their support during the year.

Janet Sewell, BCM’s Community Services Manager said, “The volunteers make my work special.  They humble you with their positive attitude and how they give of their time so freely.  They make such a difference to so many peoples’ lives.”

National Volunteer Week 2015 runs from 1 – 7 June and BCM would like to take the chance to say a massive thanks to all of our volunteers for their hard work and dedication.  Volunteers have always played a vital role in the life of BCM and today this is truer than ever.  From befriending older people in their own homes or supporting children with autism, to helping with fundraising or organising the weekly lunch club for older people, many of our services just couldn’t take place without their crucial input.
